i never heard of this place until saturday night when i drove past the one on south st.
the south st. jawn looks kinda fancy
like the new bluezette or something
anyway i see why they don't have a website
the jawn in west philly is HOOD, lol
wasn't sure i was in the right spot
ish look like a hood chinese store basically
anyway the service was aight i guess given the environment
a chubby camron looking nigga took my order all nonchalant
and a muslim beard having nigga was in the back cooking
he kinda ice grilled me when i first came thru the spot
but whatever
while in there the phone was blowing up all crazy
so i guess business is good
too bad they didn't answer the phone for me,lol

got the shrimp and tilapia jawn
for sides u get broccoli and corn on the cob and a baked potatoe

February 12, 2009. MediaTakeOut.com has just learned that Ray J might have just slipped up. According to the National Enquirer, he impregnated Monica Leon - the contestant known as "Danger" on his show For The Love Of Ray J.

Here's how Danger puts it:

I was locked in a mansion with him and 13 girls from October through the end of December � Toward the end of the first week of filming, we made love for the first time � and we slept together every night after that.�

So how does she know the baby�s Ray J�s:

Monica is convinced she got pregnant at the end of November when she and 28 year old Ray J slept together. She says they used a condom but it broke.

A member of the crew gave her the morning after pill the following day, she says, but it didn�t work.

Monica began experiencing shortly after leaving the show. And in January, she says, doctors told her she was almost two months pregnant

But get this, Monica doesn�t want Ray J anymore. Apparently she�s ENGAGED to Nick Cannon�s brother Gabriel. Here�s more:

R&B singer Chris Brown to be questioned in alleged domestic violence attack against Rihanna

Los Angeles police said they plan to detain R&B singer Chris Brown for questioning in connection with an alleged domestic violence assault against his girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna, according to sources familiar with the investigation.

Both stars canceled their performances at tonight's Grammy Awards. The alleged incident is being investigated as a felony domestic violence case. It was reported about 12:30 a.m. Sunday in Hancock Park.

Brown and Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, were apparently in a car together and got into an argument on North June Street, according to a Los Angeles Police Department statement. Brown stopped the car, the two got out, and the argument escalated, according to police.

A witness called 911, but Brown was gone when officers arrived at the scene. The woman suffered visible injuries and identified Brown as her attacker, according to police.

Brown and Rihanna had appeared together Saturday night at Clive Davis’s pre-Grammy gala in Beverly Hills.

Shortly before the Grammy show began at 5 p.m. at Staples Center, Grammy officials issued a statement saying, "We have just been informed Rihanna will not be attending tonight’s 51st Grammy Awards. Rihanna will not be performing. We are sorry to see she is unable to join us this evening.”

A publicist for the Barbados-born star, who sold more digital song downloads than any other in 2008 with nearly 10 million tracks, said Sunday night, “Rihanna is well. Thank you for your concern and support.”

Her song “Disturbia,” which she’d been scheduled to perform at the ceremony, was the sixth best-selling digital track of the year. She was replaced by veteran soul singer Al Green, who was accompanied by country singer-guitarist Keith Urban.

Brown’s record label spokesman did not respond to The Times’ request for comment. His whereabouts were unknown as the Grammy show began. Brown finished 2008 as the fourth-best-selling artist in the digital realm, posting 6.8 million tracks sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

They said last night after the Clive Davis party, he was with Rihanna and afterwards was in a limo with a "woman"....unnamed. She called the cops, saying she got beat up and when they arrived she had like mad bruises on her. Apparently, Chris Brown and the woman's argument in the limo escalated...and vualla. He's under investigation. They haven't said yet if Chris beat the jawn and/or if the jawn was Rihanna. But he was in the limo and she identified him as her attacker. Hmmmm.

Usher Cancels Pre-Grammy Gig Due to "Serious" Family Emergency

Usher is dealing with a family crisis.

Record mogul Clive Davis shocked guests at his annual star-studded pre-Grammys party Saturday night when he announced that the R&B superstar would not be performing as planned.

Davis, president of Usher's J Records label, announced that the entertainer and his mother phoned earlier to cancel his rehearsal and subsequent performance at the Beverly Hilton because of a "serious illness in the family."

Reps for Usher declined to comment or elaborate on the sad news, but a source close to the 30-year-old denies rumors that his wife, Tameka Foster, 37, had died following plastic surgery. Access Hollywood does report, however, that Foster did suffer complications from a cosmetic procedure in Brazil.

The couple have been married since August 2007 and have two children. Foster formerly worked as Usher's stylist.

On a serious note...

So something very tragic happened to my family this morning, in which some members lost everything they owned because of a house fire. They saved the cars, but the home which was built by their design and welcomed so much love was destroyed. I lived in this home less than a year ago. I just visited them. They are so content with this situation that it's inspiring. They shed no tears today. Not one. It is what it is. It's life. They said if you depend on everything you own for survival, you really have nothing. They value theirselves more than anything. They are still breathing. No one was rushed to the hospital. There weren't any complications due to the smoke. They lost all their furnishings, flat screens, pool table, office furniture, bedrooms, pictures, and sacred, personal files/items. The home was totaled. Totaled. They smiled when I saw them. I hugged them so tight. They kept smiling. I saw God in them. I've known them all my life but this was the first time I was there with them going through something so extreme. God was there. I saw it with my own eyes. We talked about what happened. They laughed. They said when things happen, its for a reason. It was an experience. Everyone has to experience things. It was suppose to happen. God knew it would. Material things mean nothing. They had so much but their lives are worth so much more to me. They are worth so much to so many. At the end of the day you're all you have. I've heard so many people say that before, but I actually felt it for the first time today. If I was only left with me, would I be content with that?

Almost one o clock Eastern time and I'm up branching code because someone..*coughmybosscough* decided to create a trunk off our first release for this project on the 12th of January . Today is the 2nd of February and since I "own" this project it's my responsibility to rectify any discrepancies. O all this and I have a project manager and delivery manager asking for ETAs for a module of code which is holding up a build they are trying to deliver to a client. O AND ...tomorrow I have to lead a meeting with the VP of Engineering and the Engineering department manager on a complicated issue which I haven't even LOOKED at yet. O AND (wtf i know) I hope I can even have the meeting because I <----(see a trend here?) have to figure out a way to get all these busy ppl in a room for the meeting. I keep creating meetings in Outlook and ppl keep declining. So my boss sends an email at 11pm on some 'make it happen' steez. O did I mention the purpose of this meeting is to brainstorm and create a solution which I have to present to the CIO of one of our clients in a meeting on Wedsnesday?
Like I so wanna cry mang. :(

Then I look on cnn.com and see all the people losing jobs every day in this country and realize some people would kill to be in my position right now. I'm blessed , life is short so let me go live it. Back to work :)

Philly for the weekend. Me & the bf dined @ Prime Rib...ehhhh it was okay. It took about 3 mins for us to be seated w/ reservations. The host must have saw me look uncomfortable standing there or something....so they gave us potato skins on the house. Um seriously, it was like potato skin chips. Like they pulled the skin off of the potato and baked it until there was no nutrients left. Not too good. If it weren't for the horseradish iono. But all in all, nothing made me go OMG! Well, maybe the mashed potatoes. My salmon was fine & Do liked his steak. It was HAWKIN outside and I left my scarves and hats at home. I usually never leave the house without a scarf. Went to Chris Jazz, which was cool of course. The drummer was awesome and me & do always find the "cello bols" (upright/standing bass players) interesting. I went to ikea for the first time in my entire life! It was soooooo awesome! Like the H&M for homes! You know, not the greatest quality but its modern and it does the job. Like I cant wait to move now and decorate, etc. I'm still estatic that the coffee table was only $30 bucks. How exciting! Went to fluid :) Like my favorite place to go in philly on a sat night. Questlove was djing, and the crowd was awesome. I like crowds like that. Next time gotta get there earlier. We have some cool dance moves :) Watched the super bowl with the fam and we all cooked, laughed, danced, exercised, etc. It was fun.

Iono. I just really miss philly and like the ppl I love most are all there.
