went to the jawn down 52nd st
i never heard of this place until saturday night when i drove past the one on south st.
the south st. jawn looks kinda fancy
like the new bluezette or something
anyway i see why they don't have a website
the jawn in west philly is HOOD, lol
wasn't sure i was in the right spot
ish look like a hood chinese store basically
anyway the service was aight i guess given the environment
a chubby camron looking nigga took my order all nonchalant
and a muslim beard having nigga was in the back cooking
he kinda ice grilled me when i first came thru the spot
but whatever
while in there the phone was blowing up all crazy
so i guess business is good
too bad they didn't answer the phone for me,lol
and i see why
during my wait the camron nigga was sitting on one the waiting area benches watching tv.....while the phone was ringing,lol
anyway got my food and brought it home
got the shrimp and tilapia jawn
for sides u get broccoli and corn on the cob and a baked potatoe
if u go to the south st. jawn or get this before the club be sure u bring some gum cause these niggas LOVE garlic
lol
like whole bits of minced garlic all over ur sides
u could kill bout 40 vampires wit this ish no lie
even wit all the garlic somehow it works and brings a succulent flavor to butter sauce that ur sides swims in
i didn't really feel the crab seasoning sprinkled on my corn but whatever
the shrimp was supposedly 'jumbo' but ish really wasn't
it was fresh tho and had me tonguing thru the shell trying get all the meat out , no homo
now the fish......that ish was BANGING
the skin was fried hard but somehow still soft and fluffy
the fish meat melts in ur mouth
i threw some hot sauce on there and periodically dipped the fish into the butter/garlic sauce
i think i wanna try that fish sandwich now
